The menu thoughtfully includes kid-friendly choices, making Sukiya suitable for family dining. Japanese pickles, miso soup, and spicy green bean sides add variety and a touch of traditional palate refreshers to complement the main dishes.

While portion sizes can feel modest for some, the overall taste and value are well received. Service can vary depending on the time and staffing, with some patrons pointing out a need for more proactive front-of-house assistance. However, the staff remain approachable and courteous, contributing positively to the dining experience.

The intimate seating layout and quick ordering process align with the brand’s fast-casual concept, making it ideal for lunch breaks or casual dinners. The environment is clean and contemporary, emphasizing efficiency without sacrificing comfort. Drinks like the refreshing pink lemonade provide a nice balance to the savory dishes.

Last visit: 13 Dec 2023 Verdict: I will repeat this restaurant. The quality of the ingredients are good. Portion is a little too small for me. Food: Negitama Gyudon (Gyudon with spring onion and egg): 8/10. Taste really nice. Even the M size, portion is small for me. Service: - Staffs are friendly and approachable - Most staffs are at the kitchen, no one is ready to help during order. Environment: Contemporary fast food restaurant. Clear environment. Price: Average

I have tried Sukiya in different places so heres the review for this branch. The place first of all feels a bit understaffed, food takes a while to come. One time I had to go to counter and ask them to give me QR so I could start ordering because no one came to us after we got there for a while. When it comes to food portions, the portions are pretty decent, good for the price I would say. Noodles are pretty good. However the katsu and curry rice wasn’t good. Japanese curry tastes way different and this wasn’t it. The drinks are good. Customer service could be improved.

I was quite surprised to see the low rating for this place, had I seen the ratings first before I went there, I would have skipped but thankfully I didn’t see the ratings first before until now. Maybe there were only 2 other tables occupied when we went in, at after lunch hour, so the service was fast and the staff was courteous. Food came very quickly. We ordered the beef noodle, upsized for 2 small eaters (2 normal size bowls would be too much). I must say the broth is absolutely delicious and the noodle is al dente (not soggy). The beef slices was thinly sliced and tender that even my elderly aunt approved of it (the worst thing is when you get beef that you cannot chew and had to spit it out!). The takoyaki is crisp outside and fluffy inside, and I can taste the squid so it’s the real McCoy. The pan fried gyoza was flavourful on its own. Chawanmushi has loads of goodies deep inside…and the texture of steamed egg was so smooth. Obviously spoilt for choices but we can only eat so much…would definitely be back! May feel like Japanese fast food rather than a restaurant but most importantly it tastes good! Seats are limited though.

Date: 2nd August 2025 The area was well-organized and tidy. Placing the order was quick and straightforward, so I didn’t have to wait long for my meal to arrive. The portions were generous, and the drinks were enjoyable, although the pink lemonade leaned a bit towards the sour side. Still, it was delicious. This spot is perfect for both lunch and dinner, especially for special occasions.
